INTRAGONADAL REGULATORY PROTEIN Abstract of the Disclosure A proteinaceous substance having a molecular weight of from about 5,500 to 18,000 and an isoelectric point of from about pH 3.5 to pH 6.5, and having distinguishing elution profiles and electrophoretic patterns is shown to non-competitively inhibit aromatase activity, modulate 3.beta.-ol hydrogenase activity, and inhibit spermatogenesis and the formation of mature ova substantially independently of exoganous sex steroids.
