The invention relates to an intramedullary nail (1) especially for the tibia, comprising a proximal end part (2), a distal end part (3) for introducing into the medullary space, and a central axis (6). Said intramedullary nail (1) has a total length of between 200 and 500 mm L and a curved section (4) with a length G = L. Said curved section (4) has a curvature radius R of between 300 and 1300 mm, the ratio L/R being between 0.2 and 0.8.
