An intraocular lens system including a primary intraocular lens (28, 40, 70, 100, 140, 180, 220, 250) modified to provide means for securing a supplemental intraocular lens (30, 50, 92, 124, 170, 240, 270) to the primary lens after the primary lens has been implanted in an eye. Either the primary or supplemental lenses can be a multi-focal or mono-focal lens.
