An intraosseous and/or hard tissue drug delivery device and method is disclosed that perforates hard tissue and provides a drug delivery passage into underlying tissue. The device of the present invention includes a hollow drill bit and a stylet removably inserted into the hollow drill bit. The stylet keeps the bore of the hollow drill bit from plugging up during drilling. The stylet is removed after drilling to permit the operator to inject medication through the bore of the hollow drill bit.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant d'administrer des médicaments de façon intra-osseuse et/ou au travers des tissus durs, lequel dispositif perce les tissus durs et aménage un passage afin de permettre l'administration du médicament dans les tissus sous-jacents. Le dispositif de la présente invention comprend un foret creux et un stylet inséré de façon amovible dans le foret creux. Le stylet empêche l'alésage du foret creux de s'obstruer au cours du forage. On enlève le stylet après le forage afin de permettre à l'opérateur d'injecter le médicament au travers de l'alésage du foret creux.
