2096006 9208406 PCTABS00013 An intraretinal delivery and withdrawal instrument and methods for entering the eye directly without a surgical incision as a prerequisite. The instrument has (a) a handle (10) and a curved, distal frame (12) extending therefrom, for insertion into an orbit along the periphery of the eye (18) in a direction so as to reach the posterior of the eye; (b) a tip (14) connected to the frame for penetration into the subretinal region of the eye; and (c) an adjustable collar (24) connected to the tip whereby the collar is capable of being positioned so that the collar regulates the depth of tip penetration into the subretinal region.
