An intravascular port access device includes a first component having a chamber configured to attach reversibly to an intravenous line port. A second component reversibly attaches to the first component and contains a disinfecting agent and an applicator material. The second component is configured to be reversibly received over external surfaces of the intravenous line port. A method of cleansing an intravenous line port includes providing a port cleaning device having a first component with a chamber containing a first cleaning agent. A second component includes a second cleaning agent. A third component has a microbiocidal agent and is reversibly attached to the first component. The second component is removed from the device, the external surfaces of the port are contacted with the second cleaning agent, the first cleaning agent is ejected from the chamber into the port, and the third component is used to cap the port.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'accès à un orifice intravasculaire contenant un premier composant présentant une chambre configurée pour se fixer de manière réversible à un orifice de ligne intraveineuse. Un second composant se fixe de manière réversible au premier composant et contient un agent désinfectant et un matériau applicateur. Le second composant est configuré pour être reçu de manière réversible sur les surfaces externes de l'orifice de ligne intraveineuse. Un procédé de désinfection d'un orifice de ligne intraveineuse consiste à fournir un dispositif de nettoyage d'orifice présentant un premier composant avec une chambre contenant un premier agent de nettoyage. Un second composant contient un second agent de nettoyage. Un troisième composant possède un agent microbiocide et est fixé de manière réversible au premier composant. On retire le second composant du dispositif, les surfaces externes de l'orifice sont mises au contact du second agent de nettoyage, le premier agent de nettoyage est éjecté de la chambre dans l'orifice, et le troisième composant sert à boucher l'orifice.
