A Shut Down system described here is for the rotating machineries, operating in the gaseous environment. This system does not require any electrical power and can be transfered from one machinery to the other without much modifications, The overspeed sensor has no links and pins hence, wear and tear is eliminated. It is simple but very effective in protecting the equipments, No high technical knowledge or training is required to adjust it. A fair engineering knowledge will be sufficient to adjust and operate it. The sytem can be set to give an alarm and if not attended to it, it will shut down the equipments before some thing serious happens to the equipments.
