The invention relates to improvements in the formation of foundry core blocks, which improvements consist in providing a channelling or hole in a suitable area of the said cores during formation thereof, such that on piling of the cores to form the block, and in the absence of additives between the contacting surfaces thereof, the said holes or channellings are placed one after the other, defining a housing which affects the whole of the block in a longitudinal sense, and which subsequently molds a mixture of sand and agglomerating material, likewise with a core blowing machine, which, after hardening, acts as a coupling and stiffening means between the cores making up the block.
