An inventoriable-object control and tracking system comprising an object assembly having an electronic device (544) with a unique electronically- readable identification code, which is connected to an inventoriable-object to enable control over access to the object and tracking of the object to identify a user in possession of the object. The system includes a row and column matrix of electrical connectors (570) located offset from a panel defining a corresponding row and column matrix of polarized slots for receipt of a plurality of object identification assemblies (502) in a single orientation. Each connector (570) of a matrix of electrical connectors comprises a pair of opposed, spring contacts (573) having independently- deflectable portions to insure proper electrical contact with an electric device (544) of each object identification assembly (502). The system also includes a local controller (214') connected to the matrix of electrical connector (570) and to a remote controller.
Un système de contrôle et de suivi d'objets inventoriables comprend un ensemble d'identification d'objets comportant un dispositif électronique (544) portant un code d'identification unique à lecture électronique, lequel est connecté à un objet inventioriable afin de permettre un contrôle sur un accès à l'objet ainsi qu'un suivi de celui-ci, de manière à identifier un utilisateur en possession dudit objet. Le système comprend une matrice à rangées et colonnes de connecteurs électriques (570) décalée d'un panneau définissant une matrice à rangées et colonnes correspondante de fentes polarisées, destinée à recevoir une pluralité d'ensembles (502) d'identification d'objets en une seule orientation. Chaque connecteur (570) d'une matrice de connecteurs électriques comprend une paire de contacts à ressort opposés (573) dotée de parties pouvant être défléchies indépendamment afin d'assurer un contact électrique correct avec un dispositif électrique (544) de chaque ensemble (502) d'identification d'objets.
