The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a water-in-oil polymer dispersion comprising the steps of (a) preparing a water-in-oil monomer dispersion comprising water, an oily substance, a water-in-oil emulsifier, a polymeric coagulant, a radically polymerizable (alk)acrylic acid derivative, and optionally one or more radically polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated co-monomers; and (b) radically polymerizing the radically polymerizable (alk)acrylic acid derivative and the optionally present one or more radically polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated co-monomers thereby yielding an intercalated polymer; wherein the polymeric coagulant is derived from at least one cationic monomer selected from the group consisting of (alk)acrylamidoalkyltrialkyl ammonium halides, (alk)acryloyloxyalkyl trialkyl ammonium halides, and alkenyl trialkyl ammonium halides.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une dispersion polymère eau dans huile consistant (a) à préparer une dispersion monomère eau dans huile contenant de l'eau, une substance huileuse, un émulsifiant eau dans huile, un coagulant polymère, un dérivé acide (alk)acrylique polymérisable par polymérisation radicalaire et, éventuellement, un ou plusieurs comonomères éthyléniquement insaturés polymérisables par polymérisation radicalaire ; et (b) à polymériser par polymérisation radicalaire le dérivé acide (alk)acrylique polymérisable par polymérisation radicalaire et le ou les comonomères éthyléniquement insaturés polymérisables par polymérisation radicalaire éventuellement présents, pour ainsi produire un polymère intercalé. Selon l'invention, le coagulant polymère est dérivé d'au moins un monomère cationique sélectionné dans le groupe constitué des halogénures d'(alk)acrylamidoalkyltrialkyle ammonium, des halogénures d'(alk)acryloyloxyalkyle trialkyle ammonium et des halogénures d'alcényle trialkyle ammonium.
