Polyiodinated derivatives of formula (I), wherein A is residue of an aromatic or aliphatic melecule; Za, Zb, Zc and Zd are Tz-Qz-Vz where Tz and Vz may be O, COND or NDCO, D may be H, alkyl or C¿1-6? hydroxyalkyl and Qz may be alkylene or hydroxyalkylene having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or else Vz has the previous meaning or Qz and/or Tz are absent; Xa, Xb, Xc and Xd, which are the same or different, are (II), wherein Ar and Ar' are tri- or tetraiodinated phenyl groups with one or two optionally hydroxylated alkyl-substituted amide groups, and T, Q and V have one of the meanings of Tz, Qz or Vz, or X is (II'), wherein Ap and A'p have formula (II) above and T, Q and V have one of the meanings of Tz, Qz or Vz. Said materials are useful as contrast agents in X-ray radiology.

Dérivés polyiodés de formule (I), dans laquelle A est un reste d'une molécule aromatique ou aliphatique, Za, Zb, Zc, Zd représentent Tz-Qz-Vz avec Tz et Vz, pouvant être O, COND, ou NDCO, D pouvant être H, alkyle, ou hydroxyalkyle en C1 à C6 et Qz alkylène ou hydroxyalkylène en C1 à C6 ou avec Vz ayant la signification précédente ou Qz et/ou Tz n'existent pas, Xa, Xb, Xc, Xd, identiques ou différents, représentent (II), dans laquelle Ar et Ar' sont des groupes phényles tri ou tétraiodés et portant un ou deux groupes amides substitués par des alkyles, éventuellement hydroxylés, et les T, Q, V ont l'une des significations des Tz, Qz, Vz, ou les X représentent (II'), dans laquelle Ap et A'p représentent la formule (II) précédente et les T, Q, V ont l'une des significations des Tz, Qz, Vz. Application de ces produits comme agents de contraste pour la radiologie par rayons X.
