A method to form an enzymatic germicidal iodine-based composition is disclosed that is minimally comprised of iodide anions, a source of peroxide and peroxidase in combination with iodine sequestering agents in an aqueous medium wherein said sequestrants are combined prior to equilibration of the nascent enzymatic reaction.

On décrit un procédé pour former une composition enzymatique germicide, à base d'iode. Cette composition contient au moins des anions iodure, une source de peroxyde et une peroxydase, que l'on dilue dans un milieu aqueux, en combinaison avec des agents séquestrants de l'iode. Les séquestrants sont introduits avant que la réaction enzymatique qui se déroule n'atteigne son équilibre.
