The invention relates to an ion mobility spectrometer, especially a miniaturized ion mobility spectrometer. The potential guide surfaces (51,62) of the ion collector (5) and the ion gate (6) form an angle of substantially less than 90~ with the axis of the drift chamber. As a result, openings (52,62) can be provided on the front faces of the drift chamber for a required supply of purge gas without having to reduce the size of the potential guide surfaces (51,61).

La surface conductrice de potentiel (51, 61) du collecteur ionique (5) et de la porte ionique (6) forment respectivement avec l'axe (4) de la chambre de dérive un angle nettement inférieur à 90·. Ainsi, on peut pratiquer des ouvertures (52, 62) destinées à l'alimentation en gaz de lavage dans les faces frontales de la chambre de dérive sans limiter la taille des surfaces conductrices de potentiel (51, 61).
