A reaction vessel (72) for the production of synthesis gas that contains four subassemblies: a first heat exchanger (20) that transfers heat between two low pressure streams (an oxygen containing stream (10) and an oxygen depleted stream (18)); a second heat exchanger (39) that transfers heat between two high pressure fluid streams (a hydrocarbon-containing reactant stream (38) and a synthesis gas product stream (40)); mixed conductor ceramic membranes (80); and a catalyst bed. Each of these subassemblies are configured so that they freely expand or contract independently from each other, and to thus avoid inducing high mechanical loads and damaging material stresses.

La présente invention concerne une cuve de réacteur (72) destinée à la production d'un gaz de synthèse, et renfermant quatre sous-ensembles. Le 1?er¿ sous-ensemble est un premier échangeur thermique (20) transférant la chaleur entre deux courants basse pression, en l'occurrence un courant oxygéné (10) et un courant appauvri en oxygène (18). Le 2?e¿ sous-ensemble est un second échangeur thermique (39) transférant la chaleur entre deux courants de fluides haute pression, en l'occurrence un courant de produit de réaction contenant de l'hydrocarbure (38) et un courant de produit de gaz de synthèse (40). Le 3?e¿ sous-ensemble est constitué de membranes céramiques conductrices mixtes (80). Enfin, le 4?e¿ sous-ensemble est un lit catalytique. Ces sous-ensembles sont configurés chacun de façon à pouvoir se dilater ou se contracter librement, indépendamment les uns des autres, et ainsi de façon à éviter d'induire des charges mécaniques élevées et des contraintes endommageant les matériaux.
