An iontophoretic system includes a medicament containing disposable patch (2) removably attached to a patient's skin (10) in combination with a controller mechanism (4). The patch (2) includes an anode (6) and a cathode (8), and holds an electrolyte and a medicament. The controller includes a controller circuit (20) which is coupled to the cathode and is adjustable to provide a desired current flow through the electrodes to drive the medicament to the skin of the patient. The controller (20) preferably includes a variety of functions to ensure safe and proper delivery of the medicament. The controller circuit (20) is preferably an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) so as to provide a compact controller having increased reliability and reduced power consumption.

L'invention porte sur un système iontophorétique comprenant une pastille adhésive (2) jetable et détachable, contenant un médicament et attachée sur la peau (10) d'un patient en combinaison à un mécanisme de commande (4). La pastille adhésive (2) comprend une anode (6) et une cathode (8), et contient un électrolyte et un médicament.
