A method for treating stenosis in a spine of a patient. In an embodiment the method comprises generating at least one view of a portion of the spinal canal in the region of interest. In addition, the method comprises compressing the dural sac in the region of interest by injecting a fluid to form a safety zone and establish a working zone in the region of interest, the safety zone lying between the working zone and the dural sac. Further, the method comprises percutaneously accessing the epidural space in the region of interest on a first side of the median plane. Still further, the method comprises inserting a tissue removal tool into tissue in the working zone on the first side of the median plane. Moreover, the method comprises using the tissue removal tool to percutaneously reduce the stenosis on the first side of the median plane.
La présente invention concerne un procédé destiné à traiter une sténose dans une colonne vertébrale d'un patient. Dans un mode de réalisation, le procédé comprend de produire au moins une vue d'une partie du canal spinal dans la région à laquelle on s'intéresse. De plus, le procédé comprend de comprimer le sac dural dans la région à laquelle on s'intéresse en injectant un fluide afin de former une zone de sécurité et d'établir une zone de travail dans la région à laquelle on s'intéresse, la zone de sécurité se trouvant entre la zone de travail et le sac dural. En outre, le procédé comprend d'accéder par voie percutanée à l'espace épidural dans la région à laquelle on s'intéresse sur un premier côté du plan médian. De plus, le procédé comprend d'insérer un outil de retrait de tissu dans le tissu dans la zone de travail sur le premier côté du plan médian. Par ailleurs, le procédé comprend d'utiliser le tissu de retrait de tissu pour réduire par voie percutanée la sténose sur le premier côté du plan médian.
