ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention describes an iron-based powder, pre-alloyed by atomization, containing dissolved Mo for production in the normal pressing and sintering processes used in the powder-metallurgical manufacture techniques of precision parts with high density, good dimensional accuracy, hardenability and strength. The amount of Mo that is pre-alloyed into the powder is about 0.5-2.5% by weight.
