An iron-chromium-aluminum alloy having a long service life and exhibiting little change in heat resistance, comprising (as percentages by weight) 4.5 to 6.5% Al, 16 to 24% Cr, 1.0 to 4.0% W, 0.05 to 0.7% Si, 0.001 to 0.5% Mn, 0.02 to 0.1% Y, 0.02 to 0.1% Zr, 0.02 to 0.1% Hf, 0.003 to 0.030% C, 0.002 to 0.03% N, a maximum of 0.01% S, and a maximum of 0.5% Cu, the remainder being iron and the usual steel production-related impurities.

La présente invention concerne un alliage fer-chrome-aluminium présentant une plus grande durabilité et une plus faible variation de la résistance à la chaleur, lequel alliage comprend (en % en poids) AI 4,5 à 6,5 % Cr 16 à 24 % W 1,0 à 4,0 % Si 0,05 à 0,7 % Mn 0,001 à 0,5 % Y 0,02 à 0,1 % Zr 0,02 à 0,1 % Hf 0,02 à 0,1 % C 0,003 à 0,030 % N 0,002 à 0,03 % S max. 0,01 % Cu max. 0,5 %, le reste étant composé de fer et des impuretés usuelles résultant de la fusion.
