Iron ore pellets are produced by a process in which the iron ore is mixed with additives necessary to adapt the desired chemical composition, and they are then pelletized in rotatory disks. The resultant elements are pellets which are taken to a straight grate furnace, where they undergo a thermal process, receiving additional mixtures of polymers or acrylic copolymers, polymers and vinyl acetate copolymers or synthetic oils which form a protective layer- to become resistant to abrasion, sticking, dust degradation and dust emission.

La présente invention a trait à des boulettes de minerai de fer produites par un procédé dans lequel le minerai de fer est mélangé avec des additifs nécessaires à l'adaptation de la composition chimique souhaitée, et ensuite transformé en boulettes dans des disques rotatifs. Les éléments obtenus sont des boulettes qui sont acheminées vers un four à grille rectiligne, où elles sont soumises à un traitement thermique, recevant des mélanges supplémentaires de polymères ou de copolymères acryliques, de polymères et de copolymères acétovinyliques ou d'huiles synthétiques qui forment une couche protectrice, les rendant résistantes à l'abrasion, à l'adhérence, à la dégradation par la poussière et à l'émission de poussière.
