IRON SOLE PLATE CLEANING DEVICE Abstract The present invention is directed to an article 10 for cleaning the sole plate of an iron. The article 10 is preferably affixed to the portion of an ironing board cover 12 which is adjacent the rectangular end. The article 10 includes a raised abrasive surface 18, a lower abrasive surface and an absorbent surface 22. The abrasive surface 14 is preferably a woven material. The weave of the abrasive surface 14 preferably is more abrasive in one direction when the iron is stroked across the weave.
