The invention relates to an irradiation device for treating skin changes, especially skin tumours, said device comprising a radiation unit for radiation of a phototoxic substance accumulated in the skin changes, a cytotoxic effect arising in radiation of the phototoxic substance. The selected phototoxic substance forms new substances, so-called photoproducts, in radiation from the radiation unit, and the radiation unit is adapted to generate broad spectrum radiation in a selected wavelength range, in which a relatively high photoabsorption in the phototoxic substance and a relatively low photoabsorption in the photoproducts are obtained. The invention also relates to a method for radiation of a phototoxic substance and a method of determining a suitable wavelength range for treating a skin change.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'irradiation permettant de traiter les changements cutanés, notamment les tumeurs cutanées. Ce dispositif comprend une unité d'irradiation permettant l'irradiation d'une substance phototoxique accumulée dans les changements cutanés, l'irradiation de la substance phototoxique entraînant un effet cytotoxique. Lors de l'irradiation du dispositif d'irradiation, la substance phototoxique sélectionnée forme de nouvelles substances, lesdits photoproduits. L'unité d'irradiation est conçue pour générer des rayons à large spectre dans une plage de longueurs d'onde sélectionnée qui permet d'obtenir une photoabsorption relativement élevée dans la substance phototoxique et une photoabsorption relativement faible dans les photoproduits. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'irradiation d'une substance phototoxique et un procédé permettant de déterminer une plage de longueurs d'ondes adaptée au traitement d'un changement cutané.
