Because of the effects of freezing and thawing soil due to normal temperature variations in Quebec, many above-ground pool owners are forced to deal with the inconvenience of pools becoming no longer level. This invention consists of a polystyrene foam base which, when installed beneath a pool, will eliminate the effects of ground freezing and thawing. This polystyrene foam base is installed under the frame, wall and fabric of the pool; it will reduce temperature changes and damage resulting from repeated freezing and thawing, which can cause a pool to be no longer level. The invention is trapezoidal and semi-circular in shape and can be adapted to fit any above-ground swimming pool. It is constructed out of polystyrene foam, which is resistant to multiple changes in temperature.

L'invention, de forme trapézoïdale et en arc de cercle s'adaptant à la dimension de toute piscine hors sol, est fabriquée de mousse de polystyrène résistant aux changements multiples de température.
