Disclosed is a method for the production and regeneration of a resin-antigen combination useful for separating isoagglutinins from a blood composition, e.g., plasma. The regeneration procedure both maximizes the yields of isoagglutinin-depleted blood-based compositions, and increases the useable life-span of the resin-antigen combination. This regeneration also inactivates and removes viral pathogens and prion contaminates contained in the resin.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à la production et à la régénération d'une combinaison résine-antigène utile pour séparer des isoagglutinines de composés du sang, (le plasma, par exemple). Le procédé de régénération permet à la fois de maximiser le rendement de composés à base de sang appauvris en isoagglutinine, et de prolonger la durée de vie utile de la combinaison résine-antigène. Cette régénération permet également de rendre inactifs les contaminants, tels que les agents pathogènes viraux et les prions contenus dans la résine, et de les retirer de ladite résine.
