The present invention provides amino acid sequences of two peptides that are encoded by two splice forms of a gene within the human genome. The first splice form encodes a protein with high homology to the testis-specific serine kinase, whereas the second splice form encodes a peptide with some similarity to the chaperone 4SP90. The present invention specifically provides isolated peptide and nucleic acid molecules, methods of identifying orthologs and paralogs of the kinase peptides, and methods of identifying modulators of the kinase peptides.
