ISOLATION CONNECTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An isolation connector is disclosed for coupling a shielded cable to a signal-receiving device such as the input of a tuner in a television receiver. The connector includes a plug whose conductive body has an output end and a hollow input end. An annular dielectric element is snugly fit within the plug's hollow end, and a con- ductive path is established from the cable's shield to within a central aperture of the dielectric element so as to provide high frequency capacitive coupling across the dielectric element and between the cable's shield and the body of the plug. Any line voltage coupled to the body of the plug via its output end is isolated from the cable's shield by the dielectric element, and a desired electrical field within the cable is substan- tially shielded from ambient electromagnetic inter- ference.
