The present invention concerns a novel process for isolating growth and differentiating factors present in colostrum, all in a natural way. This process is characterized by maturation steps (controlled mild acid hydrolysis) and physical steps (molecular filtration) which optimize recovery of measured growth factors and their ability to entice a response on human cells. Advantageously, this process allows the derivation and isolation of growth and differentiating factors with highly disparate sizes (or molecular weights) in pools. These pools can be used in select and varied ways, including cosmetic, cosmeceutical, nutraceutical, dermatological, pharmaceutical, medical and veterinary applications. It can also be used as a replacement to fetal calf serum to promote cell proliferation, and above all, cell differentiation.

L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé permettant d'isoler des facteurs de croissance et de différentiation présents dans le colostrum de manière naturelle. Ledit procédé est caractérisé par des étapes de maturation (hydrolyse contrôlée d'acide moyen) et des étapes physiques (filtration moléculaire) qui permettent d'optimiser la récupération de facteurs de croissance mesurés et leur aptitude à entraîner une réponse sur des cellules humaines. Ce procédé permet, avantageusement, de dériver et d'isoler des facteurs de croissance et de différentiation de tailles hautement disparates (ou de poids moléculaires) dans des groupes. Ces groupes peuvent être utilisés de manières sélectives et variées, notamment, dans des applications cosmétiques, cosméceutiques, nutriceutiques, dermatologiques, pharmaceutiques, médicales et vétérinaires. On peut également les utiliser pour remplacer le sérum foetal de veau afin de promouvoir la prolifération cellulaire et par-dessus tout la différentiation cellulaire.
