16235 ISOLATION OF HBsAg ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE High purity HBsAg is injected into guinea pigs to stimulate formation of HBsAb-positive serum. Gamma globulins containing HBsAb are separated from the serum and the globulin fraction containing HBsAb is isolated and coupled to a Sepharose gel. HBsAg from HBsAg-positive plasma is adsorbed on the gel by formation of an HBsAb-HBsAg complex. HBsAg is eluted from the column and dialysed.
