Abstract Isopropanol-containing cleaning solutions having an elevated flash point Partially fluorinated hydrocarbons or ethers of the formula CwHxFyOz in which x < y, the sum x + y - 2w + 2 and z is 0 or 1, which have a boiling point in the range from 40 to 100°C, effect a high flash point elevation in mixtures predomi- nantly of isopropanol and subsidiary amounts of water. Such mixtures are suitable as cleaning solutions.
