A cyclotron that includes a magnet assembly to produce a magnetic field to direct charged particles along a desired path. The cyclotron also includes a magnet yoke that has a yoke body that surrounds an acceleration chamber. The magnet assembly is located in the yoke body. The yoke body forms a pump acceptance (PA) cavity that is fluidicly coupled to the acceleration chamber. The cyclotron also includes a vacuum pump that is configured to introduce a vacuum into the acceleration chamber. The vacuum pump is positioned in the PA cavity.
L'invention concerne un cyclotron comprenant un ensemble magnétique afin de produire un champ magnétique pour diriger des particules chargées le long d'un trajet souhaité. Le cyclotron comprend également une carcasse magnétique comprenant un corps de carcasse entourant une chambre d'accélération. L'ensemble magnétique est situé dans le corps de carcasse. Le corps de carcasse forme une cavité destinée à recevoir une pompe (PA) en communication fluidique avec la chambre d'accélération. Le cyclotron comprend également une pompe à vide conçue pour introduire un vide dans la chambre d'accélération. La pompe à vide est positionnée dans la cavité PA.
