Abstract of the Disclosure . Derivatives of folic acid comprising folic acid coupled through one or both of its carboxyl groups with the amino nitrogen of a hydroxyaryl-alkylamine such as tyramine or tyrosine or a tyrosine-containing peptide such as glycyl tyrorine. These derivatives can be iodinated with isotopic iodine to serve as tracers in a radioassay for serum folates.
