ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention discloses a new isoxazole derivative and a process for the preparation thereof. In particular, there is disclosed l-(3-bromo-isoxazol-5-yl)-2-tert.butylamino ethanol of the formula (I): (I) Image and a method of preparing same from 3-bromo-5-isoxazolecarboxylic acid. New intermediate compounds and pharmaceutical preparations containing the novel isoxazole derivative are also disclosed. These compounds exhibit excellent, long-lasting bronchodilatory activity.
