IVC rack system comprising a plurality of IVC cages 13 for test animals which are supplied with sterile air, wherein samples of exhaust air from the IVC cages 13 are supplied from sampling points 15 to at least one sentinel cage 24 housing sentinel animals as bio-indicators for the detection of infectious particles within the exhaust air samples, and to at least one particle sampling filter 33 for the identification of pathogens.

L'invention concerne un système de rayonnages pour cages du type micro-isolateurs à aération individuelle (CAI), qui comprend une pluralité de cages CAI (13) pour animaux test alimentées en air stérile. Ledit système est caractérisé en ce que des échantillons d'air expiré provenant des cages CAI (13) sont fournis, en des points (15) d'échantillonnage, à au moins une cage témoin (24) renfermant des animaux témoins faisant office de bio-indicateurs, en vue de la détection de particules infectieuses dans lesdits échantillons d'air expiré, et à au moins un filtre (33) d'échantillonnage de particules en vue de l'identification des agents pathogènes.
