A B S T R A C T A jack for use in supporting a concrete forming structure, comprises: a hinge adapted to be secured to a lower member of said forming structure: a first screw member extending downwardly from said hinge; a base plate; a second screw member extending upwardly from said base plate; and a tubular adjustment member threadingly engagable with said first and second screw members, rotation of said adjustment member causing said screw members to ingress or egress therefrom for adjustment of said jack. The hinge permits pivotal motion of said jack from a lower, operative state to an upper swung away plate.
