- 1 - TITLE: A SHEATH FOR ELECTRIC CONDUCTORS AND WAVE GUIDES ABSTRACT A sheath for electrical conductors and wave guides. The sheath comprises a non-expanded, porous linear polymer having a degree of cell formation of at least 60% by volume of the sheath and preferably from 70 to 85%. A method of producing the sheath from a homogeneous mixture of at least one polymer and a liquid inert to the polymer is also provided. The polymer used is preferably polypropylene alone or in a mixture with other polyolefins.
