A fully automatic jar opener (10) for loosening a threaded cap includes a bottom jar retainer (12) including substantially horizontal clamps (14, 14a) automatically movable along a horizontal plane between an open position and a jar clamping position. The clamps, while in the jar clamping position, hold a jar (16) substantially without slippage and a top jar retainer (18) holds the cap (20) substantially without slippage when the cap is subjected to a twisting force. A vertical drive (63) automatically adjusts the relative vertical positions between the bottom and top retainers to apply a holding force on the cap. The automatic jar opener includes at least one motor (40, 70, 80) for applying the twisting force to the top retainer, for moving the clamps along the horizontal plane, and for adjusting the relative vertical position between the retainers. A controller (100) automatically controls the motor and enables loosening of the cap with one, single, discrete user command.
Cette invention se rapporte à une machine entièrement automatique (10) pour ouvrir des pots, qui permet de desserrer un couvercle vissé et qui comprend à cet effet un organe inférieur (12) de retenue du pot, cet organe comportant des pinces essentiellement horizontales (14, 14a) automatiquement mobiles le long d'un plan horizontal entre une position ouverte et une position enserrant le pot. Lorsqu'elles sont dans la position enserrant le pot, ces pinces maintiennent le pot (16) essentiellement en position fixe sans glissement, et un organe supérieur (18) de retenue du pot maintient le couvercle (20) essentiellement en position fixe sans glissement, au moment où le couvercle est soumis à une force de torsion. Un entraînement vertical (63) ajuste automatiquement les positions verticales relatives des organes de retenue supérieur et inférieur afin d'appliquer une force de retenue sur le couvercle. Cette machine d'ouverture automatique de pots comprend au moins un moteur (40, 70, 80) destiné à appliquer la force de torsion à l'organe de retenue supérieur, en vue de déplacer les pinces le long d'un plan horizontal et en vue d'ajuster la position verticale relative desdits organes de retenue. Un organe de commande (100) commande automatiquement ce moteur et permet de desserrer le couvercle en une seule instruction d'utilisateur isolée.
