ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A jet-drier having jet elements arranged above and below and in parallel with a line of travel of a moving strip. The jet elements being spaced-apart and form outlet ducts for treatment agent. A space between upper and lower jet elements is closed off along longitudinal sides, thereof. The outlet ducts are tapered, and a return-flow aperture is provided centrally in an intermediate partition of the drier, the aperture extending an entire length of the drier.
