Un article de joaillerie selon l'invention, par exemple un stylo ou un briquet. comporte un corps cylindrique rigide (1) qui est enveloppé par une tresse tubulaire (2) composée de rubans ou de fils entrelacés en métal précieux ou inoxydable. La tresse (2) est fabriquée séparément. Elle est ensuite enfilée sur le corps rigide (1), puis tendue longitudinalement, et soudée aux deux extrémités du corps (1) et les soudures sont recouvertes par deux bagues (5). Une application est la fabrication de stylos. briquets ou bijoux tels que colliers, bracelets. pendentifs. boucles d'oreilles etc... Fig. 1.
