Disclosed generally is a coating end structure of dissimilar metallic materials having different characteristics. More specifically, the coating end structure is for example a current-carrying contact or arching contact which is used for, e.g., a power breaker, or a coating end structure of a metal base and a coating material for improving conductivity and heat resistance. The coating end structure comprises a recessed metal base and a coating material having a smaller or greater rigidity than that of the metal base, to provide a coating structure having a high reliability. When the coating material has a smaller rigidity than the base metal, an angle of the base to a free edge of a coating end portion is at least 120 degree or 55-85 degree. When the coating material has a greater rigidity, the angle is no more than 60 degree or 95-125 degree.
