A joint assembly (1; 1'; 1") for joining a ceramic membrane (2; 2'; 2") of tubular form to a tube sheet (3) used in supporting the ceramic membrane (2; 2'; 2") within a reactor. The ceramic membrane (2; 2'; 2") is received within a fixture (10; 32; 50) connected to the tube sheet (3) and a follower (12; 44; 54), extending into the fixture (10; 32; 50), exerts a force on a high temperature sealing element (16; 42; 72) located between the fixture (10;32;50) and the ceramic membrane (2; 2'; 2") to effect a seal and to hold the ceramic membrane (2; 2'; 2") in place. The force can be exerted directly on the sealing element (16, 72) or on the ceramic membrane (2') itself.

L'invention concerne un ensemble joint (1; 1';1") permettant de raccorder une membrane céramique (2;2';2") de forme tubulaire sur une plaque tubulaire (3) utilisée pour supporter ladite membrane céramique (2;2';2") au sein d'un réacteur. Cette membrane céramique (2;2';2") est logée au sein d'une fixation (10;32;50) reliée à la plaque tubulaire (3) et un suiveur (12;44;54), faisant saillie dans la fixation (10;32;50), exerce une force sur un élément d'étanchéité (16;42;72) haute température situé entre la fixation (10;32;50) et la membrane céramique (2;2'2") pour former un joint et maintenir en place la membrane céramique (2;2';2").
