The invention concerns a tyre P with a body ply reinforcement (1), a top ply reinforcement (3) and a tyre tread (4) joined to two tyre beads via two sidewalls (5), the single mix axially outer edges of the tyre tread (4) being folded down over the radially outer rubber mixes of the sidewalls (5), and the circular joint J between the single rubber mix of the tyre tread (4) and the sidewall (5) rubber mix being positioned such that its radius RC on the tyre P axially outer wall ranges between 0.9 RS + 0.1 RB and 0.8 RS + 0.2 RB and between RSS and 0.9 RSS + 0.1 RB, RS being the top tyre tread equatorial radius, RSS being the body ply mean line equatorial radius and RB the tyre bead seat.
