ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A joint for coupling a hose or tube through which a high pressure fluid is transmitted, which has a main body with a fastening portion whose end surface is tapered, a socket having therein an accommodating space with a tapered surface for accommodating at least one shrinkable press ring and an insert cylinder inserted into the hose or tube, the press ring being shrunk when the socket is rotated to decrease the distance between the two tapered surfaces of the socket and the fastening portion.
