A mobile wireless communications device may include a portable housing, at least one virtual antenna carried by the portable housing, and a space-time filter circuit carried by the portable housing for filtering a communications signal received by the at least one virtual antenna by jointly estimating space-time filter weights and at least one channel impulse response (CIR). The mobile wireless communications device may further include a matched filter circuit carried by the portable housing downstream from the space-time filter circuit and having a filter response that is provided by a channel impulse response estimation from the space-time filter circuit.
Dispositif de communications mobiles sans fil pouvant comprendre une enceinte portable, au moins une antenne virtuelle sur ladite enceinte, et un circuit de filtre spatio-temporel sur la même enceinte pour le filtrage d'un signal de communications reçu par la ou les antennes virtuelles, sur la base d'une estimation combinée de pondérations de filtre spatio-temporel et d'au moins une réponse impulsionnelle de canal. Ce dispositif peut aussi comprendre un circuit de filtre adapté sur l'enceinte en question, en aval du circuit de filtre spatio-temporel, ayant une réponse de filtre assurée à partir d'une estimation de réponse impulsionnelle de canal fournie par le circuit de filtre spatio-temporel.
