ABSTRACT Assembly of universal joint member and shaft member in which part of each of these members interfits telescopically with part of the other, the shaft member at least being made from a light weight material which does not necessarily have welding compatibility with the universal joint member, and the telescopically interfitting parts being secured together by bonding which may be effected by injection of an adhesive substance into a cavity at the adjacent faces between the telescopically interfitting parts.
