ABSTRACT A tubular shaft member and a universal joint member are connected together without the use of welding by interfitting the shaft member and the universal joint member so as to leave a cavity into which adhesive is injected through one opening whilst air is expelled through another opening, the adhesive then being cured. The cavity may be formed by moulding grooves in one of the members.
