ABSTRACT The invention relates to a jointing device suitable for fastening cross directional sheets and/or boards, where the sheets are joined to each other through slots the width of which corresponds to the wall thickness of the sheets so that the slot of both sheets fits to the non-slotted cross direc- tional sheet. The aim of the invention lies in that at least one widening is formed in the slot of one of the two sheets joined to each other, and at least one hole is formed in the solid part of the other sheet, or at least one widening is formed in the slot of both sheets and holes and/or the widenings fit each other as to be suitable for receiving a jointing piece, preferably a ball or prism.
