An audio/video jukebox has a plurality of hard disc drives each having digital audio/video data corresponding to a plurality of audio/video titles stored thereon. A computer system reads data corresponding to a selected audio/video title from the disc drives and converts the data to an analog audio and video signal. The videosignal is applied to a television monitor while the audio signal is coupled to a karaoke- type audio amplifier. The jukebox further includes a video tape recorder and a video camera that allows a user to record a video image. A microphone can be coupled to the karaoke-type audio amplifier so that the user can sing along with a selectedaudio/video title. The jukebox allows a user to view lists of titles stored on the hard disc drives by format (music, karaoke and video) as well as by genre (new titles, rock/pop, comedy, and country).
Juke-boxe audio-vidéo comportant un certain nombre d'unités de disque dur dans chacune desquelles sont emmagasinées des données numériques audio-vidéo correspondant à un certain nombre de titres audio-vidéo qui s'y trouvent stockés. Un système informatique procède à la lecture des données correspondant à un titre audio-vidéo choisi dans les unités de disque dur et les convertit en signal audio et vidéo analogique. Le signal vidéo est transmis à un écran de contrôle tandis que le signal audio est relié à un amplificateur audio du type karaoké. Ce juke-boxe comporte également un magnétoscope et une caméra vidéo permettant à l'utilisateur d'enregistrer une image vidéo. On peut brancher un microphone à l'amplificateur audio de type karaoké de manière à ce que l'utilisateur ait la possibilité de chanter en même temps que le titre audio-vidéo choisi. Ce juke-boxe permet à l'utilisateur de consulter les listes de titres stockés sur les unités de disque dur par format (musique, karaoké et vidéo) et par genre (nouveaux titres, musique rock/pop, comédie et musique country).
