A junction box adapter plate which includes at least one plate body having a central opening adapted to accommodate passage of a cable therethrough. There is more than one set of radial openings, radially arranged around the central opening. Each set of radial openings is adapted to accommodate a different size of bolt, such that the plate body can accommodate as many different sizes of bolts as there are sets of radial openings.
