A modular joint implant including a male/female junction comprises two components. A bore in the first component has an opening. An interior surface forms a female side. A projection in the second component has an exterior surface forming a male side. A portion of contact area between bore and projection is adjacent the opening and is offset axially relative to a second portion. A modular hip joint implant including a male/female junction comprises a proximal body. A projection adjacent the first end of a stem component has an exterior surface forming a male side of the junction. The projection engages with a bore along the junction axis. The male and female sides contact one another adjacent a bore opening. A portion of the bore opening adjacent the lateral aspect is offset axially toward the top end relative to a portion of the bore opening adjacent the medial aspect.
Un implant d'articulation modulaire qui comprend un raccord mâle-femelle est constitué de deux éléments. Un alésage dans le premier élément présente un orifice. Les côtés mâle et femelle font contact en jouxtant un orifice d'alésage. Une partie de cet orifice d'alésage contiguë au côté latéral est décalée axialement vers l'extrémité supérieure, jusqu'à une partie de l'orifice de l'alésage contiguë au côté interne.
