The invention relates to a PC-based electronic control unit with a mother board and an additional printed circuit board, whose connection plugs are acces- sible through apertures, arranged in parallel rows, in a housing wall. Between these rows there is a further row of apertures for connection plugs which may be provided on the mother board or on the additional printed circuit board or else on daughter boards which can be plugged onto one of them or both of them.
