A hardwood floor system has upper and lower subfloors of wooden panels, a plurality of elongated floorboards disposed above the upper subfloor and a plurality of uniformly spaced compressible, deflectable pads supporting the lower subfloor above a base, with at least one kerfed surface in the group of surfaces including the floorboard bottom surface, the upper subfloor surfaces, and the lower subfloor surfaces. In a free-floating embodiment of the invention, each of the pads includes a glide tip that is slidable with respect to the base. This combination of kerfs and compressible, deflectable pads provides a hardwood floor system that substantially complies with the performance characteristics established by the Otto Graf Institut of West Germany for evaluating hardwood floor systems, but in a more economical manner than another embodiment of the invention described in the parent application.
Cette invention concerne un plancher en bois dur formé d'une série de planches disposées sur un faux-plancher supérieur placé sur un faux-plancher inférieur, les deux faux-planchers étant faits de panneaux, le faux-plancher inférieur reposant sur des plots élastiques compressibles espacés uniformément sur une assise et au moins une des surfaces parmi les suivantes -- face inférieure des planches, faces inférieure et supérieure du faux-plancher supérieur et faces supérieure et inférieure du faux-plancher inférieur -- étant rainurée. Dans une variante de plancher entièrement flottant, chacun des plots comprend une pointe lui permettant de glisser par rapport à l'assise. Cette combinaison de rainures et de plots élastiques compressibles donne une plancher en bois dur qui se conforme sensiblement à tous les critères de performance établis par l'Institut Otto Graf de la République fédérale d'Allemagne, mais à un coût de réalisation moindre qu'une autre variante de l'invention décrite dans la demande principale.
